Clientele and Services

Our private lessons are the fastest, most-targeted approach to swimming success! We assist infants to adults, new swimmers to accomplished veterans on everything from the most basic water survival skills and water comfort, to the more advanced techniques, power strokes and time shaving.

At Swim With Gale, we strive to maintain a safe and fun learning environment for our students. Learning to swim gives you a life-long skill that will benefit you and your family’s lives forever. Everyone should enjoy being in and around the water. All activities are geared around the “fun” aspect.

Infants as young as 3 months-old practice breath control, balance, buoyancy, and safety skills such as: below the water comfort, back floating, and grasping the wall.

Toddlers/Children learn breath control, balance, buoyancy, and propulsion through kicking and arm movements. Safety skills include, below the water comfort, back floating, grasping and hand walking on the wall, as well as climbing out at the wall.

When working with students, Gale goes at “their pace” with a slight push to move forward as she continues to build their confidence. Once students have mastered the basic swim skills, we progress into improving their swim strokes (freestyle and backstroke). Then we begin instruction on the remaining swimming strokes (elementary backstroke, sidestroke, breaststroke, butterfly, flip turns, basic diving) and eventually get to the point of learning lifesaving skills.

Adults are not left out either. We’ve helped adults with severe aqua phobia to relax and enjoy being in and around the water, while increasing their confidence to swim. If a traumatic experience is preventing you from jumping back in and enjoying the water, we will help you overcome your fears. Learning to swim is not as hard as you think. One phone call is the first step to helping you become comfortable in the water. Remember, it is never too late to learn to swim. We look forward to getting started with you today!

We teach every student to use their own body to feel empowered and confident while in the pool, learning that swimming is relaxing and easy. Each student is unique and our progressive “gentle” approach is focused on each individual’s needs, fears and abilities. As one develops confidence in the water they will learn water safety.

The first step is to improve confidence! Students learn to lean out into the pool, swim towards the center then turn around to get back to either the wall, the steps, or roll over onto their backs to rest.

We also specialize in competitive swimming, and have coached triathlete’s looking to shave time off a personal record.

The challenges of special needs individuals are always taken in stride, with care and understanding. You are never too old or too young to learn to swim!

Our sessions consist of nine private lessons with each lesson lasting twenty or thirty minutes (depending on age, endurance and ability). Classes are offered on (Monday and Wednesday) or (Tuesday and Thursday). Each class is at the same time, twice a week.
